Testing on a real iPhone Duo since launch day

See your app on the iPhone Duo before your users do.

I'm a UK tech enthusiast with a real iPhone Duo. I test your app folded, unfolded and mid-fold, then send you a clear report with screenshots, clips and the fixes that matter most.

How it works

Three steps, no fuss

  1. 1

    Tell me about your app

Send the App Store link or a TestFlight invite, plus the flows you care about most. I'll reply with a fixed quote and a turnaround date.

  2. 2

I test it on the Duo

Every pose on a physical iPhone Duo: folded, unfolded, half-folded, folding mid-task, rotation, larger text and dark mode.

  3. 3

    You get a clear report

A one-page report with screenshots, short clips, a severity for each issue and a recommended fix order your developer can pick up straight away.

What a readiness review covers

Every pose, every key flow

Anything that looks or behaves wrong gets a screenshot, a severity rating and a suggested fix.

Folded

The outer screen: layout, tap targets, and text that clips or overflows.

Unfolded & letterboxing

Does the app use the big inner screen, or sit in a small window with black bars?

Half-folded & hinge

Buttons, video and text that land awkwardly across the fold.

Folding mid-task

Fold or unfold while scrolling, typing, playing media or signing in. Is anything lost?

Rotation & multitasking

Portrait, landscape and side by side with other apps where supported.

Accessibility & dark mode

Larger text sizes, VoiceOver basics and dark mode on both screens.

What you get

  • A recommended fix order, linked to Apple's design guidance

FAQ

Questions, answered

Who are you?

I'm a UK-based tech enthusiast who bought an iPhone Duo on launch day. I'm not a big agency. I test apps carefully on the real device and write up what I find in plain English.

Why not just use the simulator?

The simulator is a great start, but some things only show up on real hardware: how content sits near the hinge, what happens when you physically fold the phone mid-task, and how it feels in the hand.

What do you need from me?

The app on the App Store or a TestFlight invite, a test login if needed, and the main flows you care about most.

Why only 3 reviews a week?

So each app gets proper time on the device. If this week's slots are taken, I'll give you the next available date.

What's a founding review?

The first 3 apps get a full review free. In return I ask for honest feedback and permission to publish the results as a public app check.

Will you fix the issues too?

If you'd like help, I can quote for it once you've seen the report. It's optional, and the report is yours to use however you like.

What isn't covered?

Reviews cover layout and behaviour on the iPhone Duo. They don't cover security, performance testing or App Store approval.
